Membership Manager
File Menu
- Font size for the entire program has been increased from 8pt to 10 pt.
- New System Preferences
- DEFAULTS TAB:
- New System Preference for starting on First Name field when creating a new profile. This will automatically put the cursor in the first name field when entering a new profile.
- MISCELLANEOUS TAB:
- Show Report Editor Tools. Will show the report editor buttons in the Report Manager.
- Prompt to track merge with SK Writer as Touch Points. Will prompt Do you want to track as a touch point when Merging an SK Writer document.
- Email address list separator allows you to choose either comma or semicolon as the separator.
- DEFAULTS TAB:
- Open Servant Keeper file (Local Database** Version Only) allows you to choose either a Servant Keeper 8 Database file or Servant Keeper 7 database file. If you use the open Servant Keeper file option to open a Servant Keeper 7 database in version 8 you will be prompted to upgrade the data to version 8.
- Updated Themes: You can now choose Office 2010, Office 2013, Office 2016, MacOS or Native Windows Themes
Tools Menu
- Move Attended Class/Event option allows you to change the event that you attended people for if you accidentally attend people to the wrong event.
- Find tool now has the option to search by Name/Env#/Email by default.
- Can now use the Find tool to search for attributes Sunday School, Leadership, Skills and Talents and other list box values:
- You can now rename the Teacher Roles values in the Edit Field List area
- Can Activate or deactivate Attendance events Worship Services, Sundays School Activities or small group) from the Edit Field lists window.
- More customization for the reminder tool.
- You can choose what dashboard options (Appointments, Dates, Important Events and/or Notes) you want to display.
- Each dashboard option allows you to choose the date and display settings.
- You can choose the layout (Nested pages or Vertical list)and the order that the dashboards are displayed.
- When you right click on an item in a dashboard you can open the profile or send an email.
- Email Setup allows you to enter multiple email addresses that you want to be able to send from in Servant Keeper
- Integration with your Eventbrite account to track events and activities that people register for. When people register for an event the event registration is tracked as a touch point in the individuals profile.
- Integration with your MailChimp account that allows you to create email lists, sign people up from within Servant Keeper, and view some basic statistical information when you send email campaigns through Eventbrite. Email campaigns send through Eventbrite integration are also tracked as touch points in the individual profile.
- SK Neighborhood Opens the SK Neighborhood list vendor service so you can purchase lists and import them into Servant Keeper using the Servant Keeper import tool built into the Administration Manager.
- The GO TO menu has an Email Writer option.
- When deleting a city, now all zip codes associated with it will be deleted also.
Main List
- Email Writer: You can now create personalized email templates that can be emailed to people in Servant Keeper.
- New Manager Merge Documents tool: All documents created by SK Writer or Email Writer are now stored in the Servant Keeper Database. Users that upgrade will be able to import any existing SK writer documents into the Database using the Manage Merge Documents tool.
- When you click on the Email button in the speed bar or right click on a profile in the main list and select email you can Merge with an Email Writer Template.
- When sending email you can now choose the email you want to send from based on the email accounts that are set up in Servant Keeper.
- When sending email using the email button in the speed bar, you can click on the To, cc or bcc button and send the email to other Servant Keeper users, families or individuals.
- When you click on the Quick Print button in the speed bar or right click on a profile in the main list and select Quick Print you can Merge with an SK Writer Document.
- The Call button now allows you to use Skype (if installed)
- Now when you copy Contact information using the Copy Address button in the speed bar, the phone numbers are labeled:
- Home Phone
- Wk Phone
- Cell Phone
- Built in Cropping tool when adding pictures. When Adding a picture to a profile, you are now prompted to crop the picture so all pictures are the same dimensions for reports and directories.
Family Profile and Individual Profile
- Scroll bar was added to profile when resizing to make it easier to view the information.
- Unlisted Photo: You can mark the family and/or individual picture as unlisted so it does not show on directories.
- When entering notes for a family or individual you can now send an email notification to all users for public notes. For private notes email the users with whom the private note is shared.
- You can print public or private notes.
- When entering or editing the last name of a head of household or spouse, if the last names are different Servant Keeper will automatically display the correct last name information in the directory name and Mailing name.
- The Move to new family process has been redesigned.
- The individual Profile now displays the Date Last Attended (For By person Attendance tracking only) and Background Check Date (if you use the Integrated background check service).
- New Small group field that ties into the attendance tracking module.
- Can now rename all checkboxes in the Individual Profile.
- The Preferred Name and Salutation fields have a maximum length of 20 Characters for longer names.
- There are four new user defined number fields in the main profile tab of the individual profile that you can use to name numeric data.
- There is a new Email Statement checkbox at the bottom of the profile to make it easier to know who wants their statement sent via email.
- The Attendance tab under overview now has the option to show how many times an individual has taken communion if you are tracking by person attendance with communion.
- New Touch Point Tab under Overview of an individual profile. This logs the following information: Appointments from the Schedule Appointment tool that are marked completed. SK Writer letters and/or Email Writer emails sent. If you have the Servant Keeper connected to an Eventbrite or MailChimp account it shows the Eventbrite events the individual is registered for and any MailChimp campaign sent to the individual. If you use the integrated background check service it displays when a background check is done.
- New Eventbrite tab under Overview of the individual profile. This logs any Eventbrite events associated with the organization’s Eventbrite account that the individuals registers for and attends. It also shows the cost if any to attend the event.
- New MailChimp tab under Overview in the Individual Profile. This logs the MailChimp Email lists associated with the organization’s MailChimp account that the individual is subscribing to.
- The relatives tab now has the following new options:
- mentor / mentee
- sponsor / sponsee
- partner / partner
- discipler / disciple
- New Print Button in the Relatives tab in both the family and individual profile.
- The Relative tab in the family Profile now has Expand All and Collapse
- When Scheduling an appointment using the Schedule Appointment tool in the individual profile, you now have the option to email the scheduled appointment to the assigned Servant Keeper User. The email includes a calendar item that the assigned user can import into his/her calendar program.
- The Background Check Service through Protect My Ministry has been upgrade to make the process of submitting a background check even easier all information is now pulled from the profile, so there is no need to fill out any information.
- In the Scheduled Appointments window, the Assigned To box is now listed alphabetically.
- You can now email the assignee of a scheduled appointment:
Report Manager
- The Report Manager contains over 25 new reports
- All Family or Individual picture with information directories allow you to choose the same fields in the advanced tab. No more disabled items that cannot be chosen to print on the directory.
- New Built in Report Editor allows you to copy exiting Servant Keeper report and edit them to meet your needs.
- Reports that are copied and edited using the report editor show with a next to the report name in the report Manager.
- In the Report Manager, there is a new Custom category, that you can use to create new reports for Servant Keeper based on the available datasets.
- The Browse reports button allows you to download new reports created and uploaded by the Servant Keeper community.
- The Share Report button allows users to upload reports they have created so they are available for other users in the Servant Keeper Community to download. There is no personal data uploaded when reports are shared.
- Rate Reports allows users in the servant Keeper Community to rate reports that have been downloaded from the online shared report repository (this is what you access when you click on the Browse reports button)
- Downloaded reports show with a icon next to the report name.
- There is a New Baptism and Confirmation report category that allows users to print both baptism reports and confirmation reports.
- New Eventbrite Report category that used to generate new Eventbrite reports (Event Attendance by date, Event Attendance by Event, Unlinked Individuals by event and venue List) These reports link to the Eventbrite account that the user set up to link with Servant Keeper.
- New Important Events by Individual report allows you to generate important event information based on a specific data range.
- The Profile report category now contains the Member Information Gathering sheet The Gathering sheet will have member information already filled in the fields based on what is in Servant Keeper. The Gathering sheet (Blank) will print a blank form for people to fill out
- New Relatives report category that allows the user to print reports based on information entered in the relatives tab.
- New Roster category allows the user to print attendance rosters from the report manager without having to open attendance.
- New User Accounts report category allows users to print reports based on Servant Keeper User information.
- You can now print multiple copies of the same label, envelope, Name Tag, Rotary card and/or Profile Reports when using Quick Print or from the reports manager.
- When saving reports generated in the Membership Or Contribution Report Managers as a pdf file you have the option to password protect the pdf file.
- When You right-click on a report you have the option to set that report as the default report for the category. The indicates that the report has been set as the default report for the category.
Attendance Tracking
- Attendance Tracking has been redesigned to speed up attendance tracking especially for cloud users.
- When Adding a visitor, or editing an existing profile through attendance the entire profile is now available.
- Quick count tab now give the user the option to enter communion totals. If the Tack communion check box is check.
- New Small Groups option that ties into the Small groups field in the individual profile.
- Added the ability to deactivate old Attendance events from the attendance tracking module (Worship Services, Sunday School, Activities, or Small Groups)
- New Search Individual Field Search both the on-screen list and the entire database for records.
- All Rosters now have the option to show attendance history.
Groups Keeper
- New Expand All and Collapse All buttons that can be used when using the Drag a column to group by column feature of the grid.
- You can now show/hide grid lines and the tag column when printing a group, find results or any grid that has a print option:
- New Search Tool after running a group. You can search on any field selected to display in the group.
- You now can use the Globally change fields tool for a family group and replace the family email with either the HOH Info, Spouse Info, Primary Contact Info or Secondary Contact Info.
- You can now choose to display or hide unlisted info in a group:
- Picture is now a selectable field in groups keeper, find or anywhere fields can be selected. This will show as Yes or No when selected.
- Now have % of payment option when creating groups based on payment info.
- When you click the Merge button in Groups Keeper and select the merge with SK writer document, or Merge with Email Writer Template option the manage merge documents window appears where you now select the document/template you want to merge.
- When Merging an email writer template with a group or using the email speed bar button Servant Keeper now uses the new email campaign manager to send out individual emails to the people in the group. This will allow user to send email to large groups that in previous versions of SK due to ISP restriction they would have had to send several separate emails using the email group feature.
Contribution Manager
File Menu
System Preferences
- New System preference under the Entry Tab “Show Individual Payment Summary on Entry Screen.” Allows the user to add a Payment Summary Section to see payment information when doing contribution entry.
- New System Preference under the Posting Tab “Use Automated Quickbooks integration.” Allows the user to post contributions directly to Quickbooks without having to import a Quickbooks iif file.
- New System preference in Miscellaneous Tab “Prompt when attending contributors on a date that is not a Sunday.” This option will display a message to the user notifying them the batch date they have chosen is not a Sunday date, if they check the Attend contributors when batch is posted option, when creating a new batch.
- New System in the Miscellaneous Tab “Show Report Editor Tools.” Will show the report editor buttons in the Report Manager.
- Updated Themes You can now choose Office 2010, Office 2013, Office 2016, MacOS or Native Windows Themes
- Change Font one list view option allows the user to choose the font size, type and style for the grids in the contribution manager.
- Open Servant Keeper file (Local Database** Version Only) allows you to choose either a Servant Keeper 8 Database file or Servant Keeper 7 database file. Tools Menu
- New option to Open the Email Writer and create email templates to use when merging and sending email in the Contribution Manager.
Entry Screen
- New Delete this Memorized transaction button is available when the Use Memorized Transactions check box is check. This allows the user to delete a memorized transaction that is linked to a contributor.
- The Edit Profile button on the contribution entry screen now opens the entire profile to allow the user to add/edit any information in the profile.
Batch Manager Screen
- In the patch manager screen there is a new Select Posted/Unposted Batch drop down menu that allows the user to choose to show either all Unposted Batches or All Posted Batches
- When using the Select the Posted Batches option users can now use the Edit Batch Information button to edit the Batch name and /or Comments fields.
- When using the Select the Posted Batches option users can now use the Delete Batch button to delete posted batches with 0.00 contributions. 0.00 posted batch might exist if a user used the change posted batch date tool to change the date for all contributions in a batch. The old posted batch would still exist with a 0.00 amount and that batch can now be deleted using the batch manager.
Edit Posted Entries
- When the user click on the Edit Posted Entries button there is a new Change Pay Type/Tax Status option. This option allows users to change the pay type or tax status for posted contributions based on the selected date range.
Pledge Tracking
- In the Pledge tracking window when you click on the Print List button in the Individual Pledges tab or the Family Pledges tab you now have the option to choose Show/Hide Tags and/or Show Grid Lines.
- In the Pledge tracking window when you click on the Print List button in the Individual Pledges tab or the Family Pledges tab you now have the option to choose display Multi- Page preview.
- In the Pledge tracking window when you click on the Merge List button in the Individual Pledges tab or the Family Pledges tab you now have the option to choose Merge with Email Writer Template or Merge with SK Writer Template.
Payment Tracking
- In the Payment tracking window when you click on the Print List button in the Individuals tab or the Family tab you now have the option to choose Show/Hide Tags and/or Show Grid Lines.
- In the Payment tracking window when you click on the Print List button in the Individuals tab or the Family tab you now have the option to choose display Multi- Page preview.
- In the Payment tracking window when you click on the Merge List button in the Individuals tab or the Family tab you now have the option to choose Merge with Email Writer Template or Merge with SK Writer Template.
Account Manager
- When adding new accounts or editing existing accounts there is a new Link Accounts Using QuickBooks Integration option that ties into the Use Automated QuickBooks Integration system preference.
Listings
- When Using the Listings tool and you click on the Print List button you now have the option to choose Show/Hide Tags and/or Show Grid Lines.
- When Using the Listings tool and you click on the Print List button you now have the option to choose display Multi- Page preview.
- When Using the Listings tool and you click on the Merge List button you now have the option to choose Merge with Email Writer Template or Merge with SK Writer Template.
Report Manager
- The Reports button has a ▼button that now gives the user the ability to choose to open the Report Manager, Print Unposted Contribution Report, Print Statements or Graph Reports.
- Over 10 New Contribution Reports
